Kyle Dempsey is pretty big on the Instagram with over 100k followers. Kyle was born and raised along the Westfield river in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. He grew up building forts along the river bank, fishing and skipping rocks. Kyle has always had a love for creating art whether it be through painting and drawing, building with his hands, or a myriad of other channels. He acquired his degree in creative advertising and starting getting very seriously with a camera during his time at college.
There’s no doubt about it—raising your kids in a city is a great way ensure that you’re raising cultured, worldly kids. Access to things, such as art, entertainment, history, and a diversity in just about everything from culture to fashion to food is a great advantage, for one. Exposing your kids to real world situations at an early age can help them later on in life. But is all of that immersion in daily city life too much stimulation?
Pro tip: The photos on these adventure elopements really turn out stellar and tend to be one of the more important aspects because they’re the only ones telling the story. Be sure to give your photographer plenty of time to document it for you. You’ll appreciate the hell out of what they’re able to give you with enough time and they’ll love you for it. Also, bring beer/whiskey. Just trust me on that.
Bring a thick wetsuit with you because the New York winters aren’t anything to mess with. And as long as you can withstand the cold, you’ll find pristine waves with hardly anyone out.
